Meet Our Leaders
Pam Baker is the founder and CEO of Journeous. Journeous is creating a community of strong, dedicated and compassionate leaders, trailblazers, coaches, educators, teams and students who gain the skills to connect who they are to the work they do and to those they do it with.
Pam founded Journeous after 20 years as a leadership healthcare executive across global and startup companies. She began her career at Johnson & Johnson followed by Genentech, Omada Health and Charles River Associates. Pam brings deep leadership experience across multiple functional areas, and considers herself fortunate to have experienced firsthand the power of Adaptive Communication in driving productivity and connection at work.
Pam holds an MBA from Thunderbird and a BA in Political Science and Asian Studies from Northwestern University. As the mom of twin daughters, she's seen firsthand the impact of Adaptive Communication in education. She is the author of a podcast and blog focused on insights for leaders.
Cindy is the Chief Communication Officer of Journeous. Throughout her career, Cindy has observed firsthand that creating long lasting community requires people and partnership, and she's driven to develop relationships with all of those she meets. She's naturally curious to lead, motivate, and resolve conflict so those around her become strong, dedicated and compassionate leaders.
Cindy has spent her career partnering to facilitate change beginning with the Peace Corps, in public and private education, by facilitating corporate leadership training, and through community volunteering and coaching. Cindy has taught both domestically and internationally, is an educational consultant and state-wide education facilitator, along with deep expertise training groups small and large of school and business leaders on the art of adaptive communication.
Cindy holds an MA from Concordia University Irvine and a BS from Cornell in Design and Environmental Analysis. The mom of three college-aged young adults, she's seen both at work and at home. Her motivation is rooted in creating strong and empowered work and educational communities.
Timm has a passion to help others navigate success. After a couple of college academic dismissals and taking 9 years to complete college, Timm went on to use his experience to help others. He's spent 25 years as a teacher, coach, principal, school improvement facilitator, and leadership development consultant.
Outside of work Timm is with family on their boat, attending concerts, and on his Harley Davidson. He's married with one daughter in college, one in high school and lives in Michigan. Timm holds undergrad and advanced degrees in Education from Central Michigan University, Wayne State University and Eastern Michigan University.
Dr. Rick Vandermolen has spent his 25 year career teaching and leading in Pre-K - 20 education. He has worked as a teacher and principal and in elementary, middle and high school settings focused on developing meaningful and rich educational settings for children.
Rick’s research emphasis focuses on building the leadership capacity of K12 leaders and the effective use of technology and communication in K12 instruction. He’s a leadership coach and systems design specialist for principals and superintendents, graduate program director of the educational leadership master’s program and a tenure track faculty member at Grand Valley State University. Rick enjoys life in Michigan with his wife and 2 sons.
